A mega blood donation campaign will be organized on the occasion of the 18th death anniversary of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani, former chief administrator of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya Mount Abu, Rajasthan. Giving information, Brahmakumaris: In-charge Rajyogini Brahmakumari Saroj Behan of Vishwa Shanti Dham Seva Kendra Kurukshetra said that on 17 August, Union Health Minister JP Nadda launched this blood donation mega campaign at the national level, in which the organization will organize blood donation camps at more than 6000 service centers across the country and one lakh units of blood will be donated in the blood donation mega campaign. Brahmakumaris will create a Guinness Book of World Record by organizing these blood donation camps. She said that keeping this goal in mind, a special blood donation camp will be organized at Kurukshetra Seva Kendra on Sunday, 24 August from 10 am to 1:00 pm in Vishwa Shanti Dham in front of Theme Park. Registration is mandatory for blood donation and anyone can be a part of this camp. He told that for blood donation, the age should be between 18 to 65 years. The blood donor should be completely healthy. Explaining the benefits of blood donation, he said that donating blood speeds up the process of formation of new blood in the body. Iron level remains balanced and the risk of heart disease is reduced. He told that one unit of blood can save the lives of three to four people. Blood donation gives mental happiness, self-satisfaction and joy. He has made a special appeal to the youth to participate in this noble work in maximum numbers and donate blood and become a part of this campaign to save lives. He told that this is the first time that a blood donation campaign is being run on such a large scale by a spiritual organization. He told that in this great campaign being run by the Social Service Division of Brahmakumaris, blood donation camps will be organized at the local level with the cooperation of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India, District Blood Bank, District Government Hospital, Medical College, Rotary International Club, Lions Club, ISBTI etc.
