Successful Organization of Model United Nations (MUN) at Shibli National College
The Department of Law, Shibli National College, successfully organized Model United Nations (MUN) 1.0. The event focused on the theme “Russia–Ukraine Conflict: Investigating and Addressing Alleged Human Rights Violations.” Students from the Law Department participated as delegates representing various countries and engaged in insightful and meaningful discussions on global issues.
The event was conducted under the guidance of the Principal, Prof. Afsar Ali. It was chaired by the Head of the Department of Law, Prof. Qazi Nadeem Alam, and coordinated by Prof. Khalid Shameem.
Principal Prof. Afsar Ali graced the event with his presence, enhancing the dignity of the program. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers and the participants. Highlighting the legacy of the Law Department, he said that the department has long held a distinguished position not only within the college but also in the entire Azamgarh region. Expressing confidence in the students’ enthusiasm, he said that these students will continue to bring laurels to the institution in the future.
The event was attended by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, Presiding Officer, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Azamgarh, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated the college and the Law Department for organizing such a meaningful program and encouraged students to actively participate in platforms like MUN. He shared his experiences and emphasized the importance of such activities in the academic and professional development of students.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks extended to all participants, faculty members, and organizers. Everyone’s contribution played a significant role in making MUN 1.0 a grand success.
